My Lady Carey's Domp - Hornpipe d'Angleterre

edie young This is a really cool song, the oldest existing score for a keyboard, potentially written by Henry IIX. Really badass renditions of it seem few and far between though. This one was Ok, from what I remember. My favorite is by (Dame, or whatever) Elaine Comparone, on harpsichord on her youtube. A fun one I found on bandcamp is a dancefloor version by some supposedly forgotten band called Castle Canyon. That version does shade a bit to the kitschy side, though.

The York Waits York, UK

The York Waits take their name from the ancient city band of York, the earliest evidence for which we find in 14th century records.

Today’s York Waits have revived the band as it was in its heyday in the 16th century, playing a wide repertoire of period European music as well as their own arrangements of popular dance and ballad tunes.
